When you don't know where to look, it's hard to know what to trust.

Your baby wakes again.
Your child melts down when you say no.
Bedtime stretches later and later.
You make a decision — and their reaction makes you question it.

You read. You ask. You try something new.
But the more advice you collect, the harder it can become to recognize what your child actually needs, what you need, and what your family needs.

And before long, you're constantly looking outside yourself for the answer.

Imagine knowing how to figure out what to do.

Not because someone handed you another tip or told you there’s one right answer, but because you know how to:

Look beneath what you see

Recognize what you, your child, and your family need

Make intentional decisions you can stand behind.

Whether you’re helping your child sleep or navigating the everyday challenges of family life, you can move forward with greater clarity — knowing what you’re choosing and why.

You don’t need someone else to make the decisions for your family.

I learned that much earlier than I expected to.

After losing my mother at 12, I had to find my footing early. I was surrounded by people who loved me and offered plenty of well-intentioned advice — but I learned that listening to advice and handing someone else the responsibility for my choices were two very different things.

I learned to listen, try, reflect, and choose again.

Years later, when I became a mother, I brought that same determination with me. I read, studied, asked questions, and learned everything I could — but ultimately, I had to figure out what my children needed, what I needed, what aligned with my values, and what made sense for our family.

For nearly 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping other families do the same.

My job isn’t to make the decisions for you. It’s to help you develop a reliable way to make those decisions for yourself.

What this looks like in real families

Sleep

“Before we got started, my 5-month-old was waking multiple times a night and I felt completely exhausted and overwhelmed. Thanks to Dorit’s gentle, supportive approach and clear guidance, my baby now sleeps through the night — something I didn’t think was possible, especially that quickly. I feel like a new person, and my baby is so much happier and well-rested.”

“I held the limit... and I stayed calm and connected rather than taking over or getting pulled into the struggle. The biggest thing for me is that I genuinely don’t think I would have handled that moment this way a month ago. It really is amazing to see how much of this work is already showing up in these small, everyday moments.”

“I’ve realised just how much we’ve learned and how much these principles are becoming part of the way I think about and approach everyday situations.”

There is a clear way forward.

Whether sleep has become overwhelming or you’re unsure what to do when parenting gets hard, we’ll start with what’s happening now and take it one step at a time.

1
Start with what’s happening now.
Begin with the challenge that’s bringing you here. We’ll start there.
2
Recognize what you, your child and your family need.
We’ll look beneath what’s happening so you can understand what matters and where to focus.
3
Make an intentional decision and move forward.
You’ll understand what you are choosing, why you’re choosing it, and how to lead it forward.

More advice isn’t always the answer.

There is no shortage of information telling parents what they should do. How their baby should sleep. How to respond to a tantrum. When to hold a limit. When to let go. What their child needs.

But your child doesn’t exist in a textbook — and neither does your family.

What works for one child or family may not fit what your child, you, or your family need — or the life you want to create together.

That’s why my work doesn’t begin with “What should you do?”

It begins with “What actually needs care here?”

We look beneath what’s happening. We consider your child’s needs, your needs, your values, your relationship, and the family as a whole. Then we use that understanding — together with good information and professional expertise — to figure out what makes sense here, for your family.

Because the goal isn’t for you to need someone to keep telling you what to do.

It’s for you to increasingly know how to figure out what to do.
